Academic Language Week 29 - School Conferences

Parents should not face jail time for missing their child's school conference. That is really dumb They cant just lock up the parents for missing the conference. Parents are really busy and sometimes cant do everything.

One reason is because the parents are really busy. Im sure if parents had the choice of getting off work or miss work to go to their childs conference they would. Some parents SEEK a way off of work. But sometimes there is just no possible way.

Another reason is that there is more than one way to TRANSFER a conference if the parent cant make it. I feel like if the parent makes an effort to see how their child is doing in school than that is good enough. Parents dont need to consequenced if they cant make it.

Additionally, some parents don't have the financial RESOURCES to make time in their busy schedule because many parents live paycheck to paycheck.

Trayvon Martin Paragraph

Yes I strongly think that George Zimmerman should be charged for shooting Trayvon Martin. He is a cruel man. he was wrong and he knew it and so did everyone else. Why is this man still walking around freely?

This shows how wrong people can be. Even when they know it, they always choose sides. Its not even about choosing sides. Trayvon Martin did nothing wrong at all. He was on his way home. Ok yea he was walking through a neiborhood that he wasnt really familliar with, but it wasnt like he was trying to break into someones house or kid nap somebodys kid.

Also, Trayvon Martin was a good kid. He got A's and B's. He was an awsome kid, so his teachers think. He's never got aressted befor. he was just a good kid trying to get home. He had on his hood. Like come on it was rainng and he had a bag of skittles and a can of ice tea. But as george Zimmerman says Trayvon Martin looked suspicious.

In addition, There was witnessess who heard Trayvon martin cry for help befor there was a gun shot. George Zimmerman called the police 46 times in the month of janurary about black guys walking through the neihborhood and saying they looked suspicious. George zimmerman is racist and wrong. I dont care what any body says. He called the police and said he thinks Trayvon Martin was on drugs or something. BS. they checked Trayvon Martin he was clear. Also when he called the cops they said they where on the're way. so there was no need to shoot him, because trayvon  did not try to hurt george . He was trying to go home. But of course george zimmerman wants to be the victom and he said it was self defence.

In conclusion, I Strongly think that George Zimmerman should get charged with murder for shooting Trayvon Martin. This pisses me off that george did not get aressted and still got to carry around his gun. The cops, government, and George Zimmerman is wrong. I think they are all racist. Any one in there right mind would know that Trayvon Martin is inecent and did not try to hurt George Zimmerman first. Expecially with the evidence they got, they could have aressted him. He deserves to go to jail and I cant beileve he is getting away with this. His family is sad and hurt, but because of everybody's stupiditty they think George Zimmerman is inecent. This is just wrong.

Global Positioning System

Global Positioning System (GPS) devices should not be required for habitually truant students.  It is the kids choice where they want to be. If they want to be out of school or ditching then let it be that. Yes of course you would want the students to go to to school but you cant force them, or stock them by using GPS devices.

One reason is that the GPS is tracked to the ADMINISTER of the school. I don think its right to have people knowing every move you make. The students shouldnt have to do good just because people have trackers on them. If students want to do good let it be when no one is looking.

Another reason is, This is an ELEMENT of stocking the students. Students have a choice. Let them make there choice on their own. I dont beileve the students should be tracked down to make sure their in the right area. Let students make the decision for there future, because they will soon relize that they should have went to school.

If students can go to school it will show that they have good CONDUCT. But for students I think they know that going to school is a big deal to have a brighter future. Students are going to make it more of a rough time in school with GPS devices because then there not going to want to do there work. Just because of the fact that they know their every move and step they make is being watched.

In conclusion, students have a desicion. They know that if they screw up now then its going to be rough in the future. But some students dont think about that when there in school, so they ditch. But thats why all there supporters need to come in and help them through school. They dont need to be stalked and watched every second of the day. just let students learn from there mistakes if they havnt learned in high school.

Rain, Vacation, or Zombies vs Vampires Blog Post Paragraph

Rainy days.
Rainy days give people a chance to relax. You get to sit in your house and read a book or sleep.
Rainy days also cleans the air for people. so people will smell fresh air.
Rainy days are healthy.
The rain cleans the stree. also the rain keeps the water cycle going.

Academic Language Week 27 - Drug-Sniffing Dogs

School officials do have the right to use drug-sniffing dogs. One reason is to maintain the process of having a safe & drug free school (environment). When dogs come into the picture it is easier for the school staff to respond from anonymous assumptions of drug holders in the school environment. By having a dog, will provide a higher possibility of being able to find the drugs on campus. Additionally, when dogs start sniffing around on campus it will surprise and scare the holders from bringing the drugs on campus and prevent them from risking the education. In conclusion, students need to follow the school’s expectations. By implementing drug dogs students will be more focused on school rather then bringing and smoking stuff on school grounds.
