I was so sad to here about the school shooting in conneticut. It broke my heart because i know how it feels to loose someone you love. But i dont know what those people could be going through. It seemed hard to beileve because i thought about what if that was my 5 year old sister. I couldnt bare the pain of that. They were so young didnt even get to live life. It really brought tears to my eyes. It was sad to here that the teachers died trying to protect those little angels. I just really want to say REST IN PARADISE! I cant really write much more because im going to cry, but i just want the family of those who had a loss, is they have my condolences and im veary sorry that happened.

my brother

I was so excited that my brother came down from north dakota. I love my brother jabriel so much. Im just kind of upset that he is leaving soon, he hasnt even been here veary long. That really upset me because he lives in a different state and me and my sisters barely get to see him. This is it. Also the fact that we are not even out of school yet, we havnt started break are anything it just really upset me because thats more of a reason that we cant see our brother and hang out.

today

Today was kind of a grey day. It was cold, windy, and rainy. It was really cold. It rained really hard, and i got soaked. I was trying to stay warm but i wasnt wearing the right shoes to keep my sweats dry on the bottom. Then what really sucked was that i had to go to the dentist and I had to get three feelings. It was horrible, my mouth was all numb. But i have to say that i really didnt like how my mouthhurt almost the whole day, and i was cold and wet almost the whole day.

In "Lamb to the Slaughter," Roald Dahl uses irony to make the story realistic. For example, " probably right under our very noses. What you think jack?". This is dramatic irony because the reader knows that the characters are eating the murder weapon, but the characters were unaware. This also shows that, this is memorable because the reader understands why Mary Maloney starts giggling after they were eating the murder weapon, because its like the reader understands and is in on the joke. in addition, "Patrick!" she called "How are you darling?" This shows that, this is situational irony because it shows Mary, the wife, pretending like nothing happen even though she has just murdered Patrick and he was already dead. This also shows that her actions have changed since the beginning of the story when she was caring toward her husband. Her behavior is surprising which makes the readers want to keep reading. In conclusion, the irony in this story is very realistic, because when people kill people, they tend to act weird and different. Mary Maloney was acting different, she was just making herself believe that she wasn't, and that was part of the irony in this story.

Target shopping

Yesterday was the target shopping, the promises to kids. I two hundred dollars. It was cool because i bought my little sister some stuff for Christmas. I also got my brother something. I wanted to get my loved ones things for Christmas presents. It was fun because at first i didn't even spend that much money, i still had more than one hundred dollars left so i went back and got me some clothes that i would like and a couple of scarfs. I am thankful that i got to spend money. Also i didn't know how i was going to buy some of my family presents, so this money that they gave us really helped.

In "Notes from a Bottle," James Stevenson's use of ambiguity engages the reader. For example, in the story it was stated, “ There has been constant speculation on the cause of the flood”. This shows that, the cause of the flood is ambiguous to the people in the story and to the reader. In addition, that means that people didnt know what was the reason of the flood. This also shows that people didnt really seem to care that much about the flood. This also, shows that people wondered about the flood, because it was stated that they thought about it. In conclusion, it is still unknown in the story that what was the cause for the flood. But thats what makes it ambiguity, because neither the characters in the story nor the reader, know what was the cause for the flood.

cell phones are not safe to use while driving. For example, it is veary dangerous to use your cellphones while driving. It can get you caught off gaurd, and cause accidents. This shows that it is easy to ASSESS, that it is veary dangourous to use while driving. You should have your mind and eyes on the road at all times, you dont need no distractions. this also shows that, it is easy to CONCEPT, that their has been many accidents on a count of usage of cellphones while driving. In addition, you should not be allowed to use your cellphones while driving because alot of people would be able to RELATE, that its not that easy trying to multitask, expessially while on the road. It can cause damage for life, or even take away your life, from looking down at a simple text message, and then you look up, and boom, your in a suvier car accident.

I must say that i have been stressed out latley. I dont know why. I think its because of the cheer thing. The thing is that i love cheer, but i dont really know if i want to be on the cheer team and have to cheer for the basketball games. I like to do competitive cheer. But if i do cheer for the basketball games our cheer team will still be able to go to bounce and do tumbling. Thats what i want alot because i want to be a really good cheerleader. I am alreay one of the best cheer leaders that spa has for this year.

So i was mad about not being able to go to vegas. But eventually, i kind of got over it. I may not be doing competitve cheer this school year, but im going to cheer for the season of basket ball. I kind of dont want to cheer for the basket ball team, but i want to stay in cheer. So this is what i have to do for now. I was really upset but i have to know that life moves on.

I am so mad. I dont understand why the year of cheer has to be over, for basically no reason at all. Cheer is my all, i love cheer. Its something that i am so comitted to. It has to be over all ready. We won at our six flags competition wanting to win in vegas and now we cant even do that. Im so mad because our cheer year doesnt even have to be over, but just becase two people said no then it is. I basically put my all into cheer for no reason.

My weekend

This weekend was like the best weekend ever.We had cheer competition at six flags.I went on almost all the rides. It was my first time going on a real roller besides the one at belmont.But iu have to say that day was like one of thee best days ever. I was so happy i had so much fun. My day got even better when we won first place and so we are going to vegas.

This weekend was really fun for me, because i accomplished something that i have been waiting to do for the longest. I barely became a cheer leader this year, and i have never had the oppertunity yo be a cheerleader until i came to SPA. This is actually the first time that I ever had the oppertunity to be acheerleader out of my whole life. Thats why i am commited, and i actually try hard at bounce and at cheer practice. Because this is something that i feel im good at and i have the oppertunity to embrace and grow within something i enjoy. I have been trying for a long time to do a round off back hand spring, and i could do it but only on the trampoline. I have been doing it on the trampoline for the longest and i feel like i had what it took to do it on the cheer floor, but fear was sopping me. I had potiential so my cheer coach told me to try it on the floor. So i did but i felt like i needed a spot. I had someone spot me for a few times and then i tried on my own. And to my beilef i did it. I was so excited it has been a day i have been witing for. To be over my fear of doing it. Now i know that i can do and i can also improve.

halloween with Brandon

Halloween was low-key fun because I got a lot of candy. But I was upset because I wanted to go trick-or-treating off campus.I was really mad because I wanted to go out and actually enjoy getting candy. But I guess plans didn't work out that way. So I just stayed on campus and chilled in my house. Also I didn't have cheer practice so I waited for Brandon to get out of football practice and then I ate dinner at his house and did my homework. I can actually say that the end of my day turned out to be the best because it made up for all the bad things that happened earlier that day. He made my night and I learned that personality means a lot.

Sunday Cheer Competition

Sunday was a super fun, nervous, and scrarey day for the dragon cheerleaders. We had competiton for the first time ever. We went to the SDSU Vejas stadium and it was a reLLY big palce, and the speakers blast loud. The cheer floor was pretty big too. we were all nervous but we knew what we cam to do. We came to have fun. So during practice befor we had to go up we kept on messing up, But then they called us and we went out there and did an Amzing job. We saw the video of us and we looked really good. We got the reults later on and we made fourth place out of 8, and it was our first time competing. So were going to nationals.

Saturday

Saturday was really fun. It was more fun thn I expected. I chilled alll day, then at night i got ready for the halloween dance. I got all dressed up in a costume that i made, I was bat woman. So i went and the food was amazing, they had little decarative famcy food. Also I was the first group to go up to the haunted dairy farm and it was scary. I was running and screaming for my life. After like five minutes of it i was ready to go. I felt like i was in a movie, running in the woods away from the monsters or killers. But i had alot of fun dancing with my friends and sisters.

Friday

This friday was really fun. I went to sandiego for the football game. At first friday was really boring because i had to go to work, but then it actually turned to be a really good day. I hung out with brandon. I really wanted to go the football game, But then the office just offered to take kids so i said i will go. I made brandon a fan sighn. It was cool because they did really good at the game. They won and he hung up the fan sighn i made him.

This week has been really stressful for me, because we have cheer competition coming up this Sunday. I feel like our team is not ready for all of this pressure. Our team is good when we put our minds to it. But our team has alot of drama and also since there are younger people on the team, people dont seem to listen. Its veary hard to get people do everything on point at the same time. Also Its just been really stressful to know that we have cheer competition. This will be our first one so we are hoping to make it passed the first level. Its just veary hard for us because i feel like it will be a fun experience, but then a veary scary and nerve wrecking experience. I just hope that when competition comes that we Bring it on.

In class I feel like im doing much better. I have been trying hard and doing what im suppose to. ive been trying to do all my work. I have been trying hard because I dont want to see myself fail. Im trying to get up there and get off two hour. ive been on two hour for the longest. Ive been on two hour scince last year. But its because summer came along and then the new school year so i dont really have a choice but to change my grade and make it off two hour. Life has been normal for me. I have been actually happier scince someone came back into my life. Im glad that i have that special someone in my heart. I just been getting moody latley because people dont stay commited to what they say they are going to.It makes me so mad because at the time we really need them the modt they want to quit on us.

homecoming

Im excited for homecoming because this wil be my veary first. I really want to take this oppertunity to dress up and have a good time with my classmates and friends, teacers, and people that i care about. This is goin g to be a veary rememerable oppertunity for me because to know that we are all having a good time. Im just happy to those good memmories, thats one of the best things in life. Also we have the homecoming football game, and i have to cheer at the game. Then im going to get all ready for the dance.

Im trying to do so good this year. Its really hard to stay on top of all your work. All the classes i should have a A in I have a B. Its really fustrating me because I really want to get good grades. I dont understand why i should have a B. Im trying really hard but its just something that i wont be able to control. I turn in most of my work, and in some classes all of my work, but i still get points knocked off. I remember abbout 10 months ago when i wasnt living here i had a 3.7. Thats the highest grade i ever had in my life. I was really trying to make my grades good, but then i moved here. At the time i was stressing and i didnt know how to handle my problems, so i started doing bad in school.

Home coming

Yesterday was actually fun. I was debating on weather i should go to homecoming or not, so i figured i should go and have some fun. I wanted to go because i wouldnt have anything better to do, but sit at home, or maybe even go to the gym. I actually thought about this will be my first home coming ever and i want to know the feeling even if it wasnt as fun a s i thought. Im going to make it fun. Im actually excited because it will be a experience that i will remember. I like dressing up so this will bge a great oppertunity for me.

I would have to say my weekend was a little crazy. Things happened that i some what didnt expect. I had an iintuition that was always there so i kinda knew. But I Had a talk nwith someone, I cant really say who. But the talk i had with this person i didnt really expect it to hurt as much as it did. It kinda hurt my feelings. I knew the way this person felt the whole time, and i knew by them coming to me and trying to start some "new" as they said was to good to be true. Thats why i felt lkike a down grade or that, that person lowered their standards. But after all i relized no, i am not a down grade. i am going to be me no matter what, and im not going to change for noone. If you dont like me for me, then oh well. Thats just how i feel.

My day was actually good today because nothing bad happened. It was also tireing because i had to wake up early to go to work. I had to wake up at 5. But it seemed like in every class i fell asleep. I tried not too but i was just so tired. But i also got my work done. So that was a good thing. Friday was really fun. I went to the college tour trip. It was SDSU. I dont know why it was mandatory for me to go, but im actually glad i did. Vaccinations should be required for all children. Vaccinations are really good if you think about. There is an ESTAMITE that only 1% something wrong happens with the vaccine. For an example, there could be a possiable chance that maybe it gives your child some sort of problems with any part of their body. But that is just a slight chance. It is vaery rare, you know like they say one in a million. A second reason is, That a vaccine ILLUSTARTES a healthy child. Every baby, toddler, teen, adult, and even ederly deserves to be haelthy. Also to live a healthy life. The third reason is, That vaccines are a veary POSITIVE thing in life. They stopp viruses and diseases from coming. It is a veary helpful thing to know that your child is going to be healthy because of a shot they took that could last 10years- to a life time. In conclusion, vaccines are so helpful. When i get older i am going to get a vaccine for my child, because i would nt wnat to take the risk of my child possibly dying all because i was scared to get them a vaccine.

I have been trying hard to make sure that i keep my grades up, that i do what im suppose to do. I just really want to make the best of this year. Also because its my big sisters last year here at spa. This year i planned to get a job. I also became lowkey anti-social. I just wanteed to keep myself busy so i dont have time to get in any kind of trouble. Alot of people have told me that they are proud of me, beacuse they see a huge improvement. My day was good. There wasnt really anything special. I just went to school and did my work. Ive been trying hard to keep my grades up because i really want to do good this year. My day was just a day where i felt like i need to turn everything in and try my hardest. I try my to do my hardest everyday. But theres just that one special day where it needs to be better than any other day. I dont know why but today was that day. I guess you can say this day was unique. but im trying to have everyday be a day to remember. I know this is random, but i just felt like saying how hard i try everyday. My favorite room in the house would have to be, my bedroom and the kitchen. My bedroom is my favorite room in the house because its my space, its where i sleep, and have all my belongings. My bedroom is my space. I love my bedroom so much. Its the one place i feel like i can go for privacy and to be alone. My bedroom is unique, i have my room decorated and its how i like it. I also like the kitchen because,its the one place where all the food is stored. I always go in there when im hungry, or even when im bored. But those are my favorite in the house.

The pressure of teen sports has not gone too far, yea there has to be a limit to where you push the teens, but you can always push them harder to work hard and achieve. For example, Teams always play other teams, compete, etc, and yes it is neccasarry that the coaches CONSTRUCT a team that is going to work hard. This shows that, the team has to have dicipline, knowing that the sport they are doing they have to put their all into it, also showing that they enjoy the sport. This also shows that, The teens has to have acedimics. they cant just join a team knowing that they arnet doing good in school. They have to keep their grades up. In addition, I dont think that the coaches should keep kids at practice during times that thery have to do their home work. I beileve that coaches should at least keep their kids at practice for a good amount of time, It has been IDENTIFIED that they still ahve time to do their homework and other important things. In conclusion, I think that coaches dont go as hard on kids that they should, yes theirs coaches out there that do, but alot of coaches dont know how to maintain their kids. So if coaches want a good team in SIGNIFICANTS, then i suggest that you push them farther than ever befor to gret them their.

video-game makers do not have the right to sell violent video games to minors,the first reason is, that it distarcts the minor from doing anything else. It can make the minor anti-social.It has been ANALYZIED for minors to get addicted to it. Another reason is, it can cause minors to become violent. Expessially if their are young kids playing violent video games they can DERIVE violence. the last reason is, that parents dont want their kids to become violent, but it has been EXAMINED that playing violent video games, can make you do more violent things.In conclusion,. I beileve that minors should not be able to play violent video games,beacuse of the things it can put their head, violence is never the answer for anything.

My year

My sophmore year so far is going really good. I feel much more mature than my freshman year. I think this beacause last year i let my problems get into the way of everything. I used my soical life as a excuse not to do my work and to screw up. Yea i was going through alot but now its all over. This year i actually plan to achieve my goals, because last year it didnt work out as i planned.This year i feel like i have much more responsibility. I also work so I dont have time to play around and screw up. I like that im actually keeping myself busy, by work, school, cheer, and homework of course. The only thing that makes me so fustrared in enlish is, edmodo. I feel like im going to fail because of it. I do nmy work, but sometimes i dont know how to turn it in. Edmodo gets so complicated and it fustrates me becasue i actually care. I want to get everything done and actually pass with a A or a b. Thats another thing i actually have higher standards for myself. I really want to do good this year. Im going to really try and work hard, because i said that last year, but this year i will not let myself fail.

My weekend

This weekend was actually good. I didnt really do much but it seemed to be a chill weekend. I would have to say friday was veary fun. I preformed in the prep rally, and i was kind of nervous but it turned out to be good. After I went to the game and that made me happy because we won against crawford. I heard last year that we lost against them. So it was good we won. Then later that day i saw myself on ppr, cheering for our school. It was fun. The rest of my weekend was ok because I just chilled and then on sunday I deep cleaned my room. So i guess i can actually say that I had a decent weekend.

Love at first sight

I do not beileve in love at first sight. It seems kind of impossible to love someone the moment you lay eyes on them. For example, it takes time to love someone. You at least have to get to know them first. Yea, that person may be really good looking, but you dont know their personality or really anything about them. Another reason is, you dont know if their a cheater or a player. All of those things are important because if you plan on loving that person then you really need to get to know them. Additionally, Their was a time where Nora and I went to boomers and their was this really cool gay guy. He was so awesome. He said he already loved us, he was cheering for us when we were on the gocarts. Nora and I felt as if we loved him. But the thing is he loved us a s a friend and Nora and I loved him as a friend. He had a social personality and he was really chill. Romeo and Juliets love is sincere because if it wasnt true love why would they kill themself for one another. That proves they couldnt live without each other.But the thing is I dont beileve in love at first sight.

Personal Changes Blog Paragraph

Yes I have changed since the beggining of freshmen year. I think its important to know that I have changed. I have changed in so many ways. The way I have changed could affect my progress for college, but I wont allow that to happen because I have higher standards for myself. Firstoff, I have changed alot because befor I came to San Pasqual, I had really good grades. I came with a GPA of a 3.7. I had goals that I was going to get a 4.0 all four years of high school. But that just didnt go so great for my freshmen year. I have a big difference in my grades. Secondly, My grades have decreased. I am on 2 hour. I have let my grades slip and now i am struggling to try to get up a F that i have. I really should not let stress get in the way of my academic learning. I really should have been consistant on turning in my work. Also, My grades arnt super bad. But their are some things I could fix. Also I think my personality changed. I used to be quite. But now I am not as quite as I used to be. I think that is a good thing because I am more social. That has caused me to make friends that I love and a boyfriend that I care about. I think in highschool its good to be social and to have a fun highschool. In conclusion, I know that i started out pretty good and then I let my personal problems get in the way of my grades, I think my freshmen year was alright. It isnt the best. Things happened this year that I never thought would have even happened. Things happened that I would never forget, and that I would never even be able to change. I guess this year came out the way it was suppose too.

SPA Policy Blog Paragraph

One policy that I wish could be changed is restrictions. I feel that some staff or supervisors give restrictions for uneccassary reasons sometimes.Currently, this policy states that staff and supervisors are allowed to give you restrictions if their is school problems, caught smoking or drinking, fighting, peircings that werent done when you came, and for coming home late, or not going to school. My concern is that some staff and supervisors give restrictions for everything beside that. I think it should be changed because staff like to give students restrictions for anything and everything. It could be something stupid like not going to the dinner table. Also, some kids can even get worse for giving them a restriction. So I believe that you should give students restrictions only if it is needed. If this policy was changed, I would be happy. Maybe I would respect people more, because their not giving me a restriction for something really stupid.

My career goal is to become a famous actress. This job involves knowing how to act, getting along with people, and being able to do things in front of the camera are people. I want to do this because im really good at it. Also im very dramatic. I could get into my character really easily. I will achieve this goal by going to a preforming arts college or taking classes. Academic Language Week 33 - American Students

American students are falling behind academically compared to students in other countries.DATA shows statiscically that we score way lower than other countries in math and science. Its pretty harsh to say but its true. One reason is, that in other countries Students of all ages and grades have to pay to go to school. So therefor students will take their education more seriously. COMPARED to America we get a free education. Another reason is,In some other countries they have higher technology. Also higher resources than we do. So if we had scources like other countries I think the RANGE of our test scores would increase. Additionally, Students in other countries are in school longer. It vary's some students are in school from 10-12 months. So students in other countries have a higher chance of getting higher test scores. In conclusion, American students are falling behind academically compared to students in other countries. If students in America would take their education a little more serious then maybe our test scores would increases. I know people are going to hate me for saying this but, if we stayed in school a little longer and studied harder then I think maybe we would do better.

So in the movie 2012, A ship goes out and sails off into the ocean. mean while back on land, there are these huge earthquakes and disasters. it starts out as a little earthquake and then leads to bigger and bigger ones. california goes down first. Like litteratly the whole world is taring apart. But remember the people out on the ship dosnt feel a thing because they are on water out in the middle of the ocean. So its funny because while the people were eating dinner out on the ship the orchastra was singing "Its Not The End of The world" but little did they know that all the land was tore apart. soon after the song there are these huge tsunami's, and all the people on the ship died. but its just funny because it really was the end of the world.

Spring Break Blog Paragraph

During spring break, I spent most of time in my house and in my room.I stayed in my house because the campus was dead of fun. Everyone was on pass and there was nobody to hang out with. Sadly this affected my emotions because I felt alone and angry because all my friends deserted me in this waste land of a campus. Academic Language Week 29 - School Conferences

Parents should not face jail time for missing their child's school conference. That is really dumb They cant just lock up the parents for missing the conference. Parents are really busy and sometimes cant do everything.

One reason is because the parents are really busy. Im sure if parents had the choice of getting off work or miss work to go to their childs conference they would. Some parents SEEK a way off of work. But sometimes there is just no possible way.

Another reason is that there is more than one way to TRANSFER a conference if the parent cant make it. I feel like if the parent makes an effort to see how their child is doing in school than that is good enough. Parents dont need to consequenced if they cant make it.

Additionally, some parents don't have the financial RESOURCES to make time in their busy schedule because many parents live paycheck to paycheck.

Trayvon Martin Paragraph

Yes I strongly think that George Zimmerman should be charged for shooting Trayvon Martin. He is a cruel man. he was wrong and he knew it and so did everyone else. Why is this man still walking around freely?

This shows how wrong people can be. Even when they know it, they always choose sides. Its not even about choosing sides. Trayvon Martin did nothing wrong at all. He was on his way home. Ok yea he was walking through a neiborhood that he wasnt really familliar with, but it wasnt like he was trying to break into someones house or kid nap somebodys kid.

Also, Trayvon Martin was a good kid. He got A's and B's. He was an awsome kid, so his teachers think. He's never got aressted befor. he was just a good kid trying to get home. He had on his hood. Like come on it was rainng and he had a bag of skittles and a can of ice tea. But as george Zimmerman says Trayvon Martin looked suspicious.

In addition, There was witnessess who heard Trayvon martin cry for help befor there was a gun shot. George Zimmerman called the police 46 times in the month of janurary about black guys walking through the neihborhood and saying they looked suspicious. George zimmerman is racist and wrong. I dont care what any body says. He called the police and said he thinks Trayvon Martin was on drugs or something. BS. they checked Trayvon Martin he was clear. Also when he called the cops they said they where on the're way. so there was no need to shoot him, because trayvon  did not try to hurt george . He was trying to go home. But of course george zimmerman wants to be the victom and he said it was self defence.

In conclusion, I Strongly think that George Zimmerman should get charged with murder for shooting Trayvon Martin. This pisses me off that george did not get aressted and still got to carry around his gun. The cops, government, and George Zimmerman is wrong. I think they are all racist. Any one in there right mind would know that Trayvon Martin is inecent and did not try to hurt George Zimmerman first. Expecially with the evidence they got, they could have aressted him. He deserves to go to jail and I cant beileve he is getting away with this. His family is sad and hurt, but because of everybody's stupiditty they think George Zimmerman is inecent. This is just wrong.

Global Positioning System

Global Positioning System (GPS) devices should not be required for habitually truant students.  It is the kids choice where they want to be. If they want to be out of school or ditching then let it be that. Yes of course you would want the students to go to to school but you cant force them, or stock them by using GPS devices.

One reason is that the GPS is tracked to the ADMINISTER of the school. I don think its right to have people knowing every move you make. The students shouldnt have to do good just because people have trackers on them. If students want to do good let it be when no one is looking.

Another reason is, This is an ELEMENT of stocking the students. Students have a choice. Let them make there choice on their own. I dont beileve the students should be tracked down to make sure their in the right area. Let students make the decision for there future, because they will soon relize that they should have went to school.

If students can go to school it will show that they have good CONDUCT. But for students I think they know that going to school is a big deal to have a brighter future. Students are going to make it more of a rough time in school with GPS devices because then there not going to want to do there work. Just because of the fact that they know their every move and step they make is being watched.

In conclusion, students have a desicion. They know that if they screw up now then its going to be rough in the future. But some students dont think about that when there in school, so they ditch. But thats why all there supporters need to come in and help them through school. They dont need to be stalked and watched every second of the day. just let students learn from there mistakes if they havnt learned in high school.

Rainy days.
Rainy days give people a chance to relax. You get to sit in your house and read a book or sleep.
Rainy days also cleans the air for people. so people will smell fresh air.

Academic Language Week 27 - Drug-Sniffing Dogs

School officials do have the right to use drug-sniffing dogs. One reason is to maintain the process of having a safe & drug free school (environment). When dogs come into the picture it is easier for the school staff to respond from anonymous assumptions of drug holders in the school environment. By having a dog, will provide a higher possibility of being able to find the drugs on campus. Additionally, when dogs start sniffing around on campus it will surprise and scare the holders from bringing the drugs on campus and prevent them from risking the education. In conclusion, students need to follow the school’s expectations. By implementing drug dogs students will be more focused on school rather then bringing and smoking stuff on school grounds.

How do you feel about taking the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)?

I feel ok about taking the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE). Because i know that i have to take it in order to graduate. I really want to graduate. This is high school and i need to stop playing around and start turning in my work. Also i need to start finishing my work. Taking this test is kind of scary but at my other school i took a CAHSEE practice test. It was kind of hard but i think i did good on them. I dont really remember my scores. But i am confident enough to know if i do well in my classes and pay attention, that i will pass the CAHSEE.

Academic Language Week 2 - Cars

Would you want a car that drives itself?  Yes because its a high use of technology that can help people in so many different ways. Yea, it may be tons of money but just think about the good use it will give. All the money you spend on the car wont be a waste.

This amazing piece of technology will drive itself, this is a great METHOD that will have you do nothing. Just think about it, you get in your car and all you have to do is press a few buttons and then just sit back and relax. That would really be amazing.

Also a car that will drive itself will allow less accidents to OCCUR the car can easily be managed by all the gadgets it has. But just think about it, having to steer the car and accidently slip your hand on the steering wheel and could’nt step on the break fast enough, then there you have it, a car accident.

Having a car that will do all the work and just drive its self, would be easier to PROCEED. it would be easier to manage. Just imagine your foot hurts or you have cramps in your fingers, and its just to much pain to b using them, but then you have to get somewhere important. Thats when the car that drives itself comes in handy.

In conclusion, having a car that drives itself is a safe and efficient way to get around. The good thing about it is you dont even have to do much. No steering or stomping on the breaks. Just sit back and relax.  I think if everyone had a chance to get this car, they should take it. This is a great piece of beauty and technology.

Academic Language Week 22 - Felons Voting

I believe that felons should not be allowed to vote. felons already comitted a crime, they shouldnt have a say for our econemy. I think that this is complex because they messed up and have to pay time for it. Felons already messed up for themself we dont need them to mess up for everyone else to. This is revelent because voting isnt going to affect them, if there locked up. There should be  a system for them not to vote, i think that would be a good source because what they have to say dosnt matter because they messed up for them self.

Poetry Previous Knowledge Paragraph

My favorite poet is Mya Angelo because she writes her poems with meaning. I really like her poem called  " Still I'll Rise" because she gives me a lot of inspration in her poems. When I read her poem it motivated me. I felt like anything is possible. Also i like to read out side the box and to see what everything means. I can relate myself to some of the things she writes about.

Second Semester 2012 Goals

My goal for the second semester of the 2011-2012 school year is get straight A's.
I selected this goal because I think im a hard worker.
I will achieve this goal by making sure that I study hard and turn in all my work.
At the end of the semester, I will know I achieved my goal by having all A's on my report card.

No Dress Code at School

Have you  ever went to school and the teachers are telling you what you can wear and what you cannot wear? Well, its time for that to stop, teens should be able to express there self freely through dress. Teens should be able to wear what makes them feel comfortable at school. Its an opportunity to see kids be there self.

In the real world there is no dress code. Some people believe that showing to much skin makes a girl look “slutty” for example, my cousin NENE is in her twenties and she chooses to wear short and tight dresses when she goes out and tank tops that shows her back when she is just hanging out with friends. But when most girls wear revealing clothes it makes them feel good. They have pride and not afraid of showing off there body's. When people give them there opinion and tell them they look slutty, then that can damage them and give them an insecurity that would take forever to get rid of. Also, it can lower there self esteem..

It gives teens a freedom to express there self. Most teens are mature enough to pick out there own clothes and see what they want to wear. It makes them feel more confident because people can actually see there personality. For example, if they have a happy personality they are going to wear something that makes them feel proud. When you see teens wear something it can depend on what mood they are in.

There past can affect the way they dress. Some teens have been through a lot. I know that here at SPA we are all foster kids and have all been through something hard in life.  Some teens dress the way they do because they never really had the chance to tell anyone how they truly feel on the inside. A lot of teens hold on to there past or those things that are bothering them. So they dress for that certain reason. I know a lot of teens have there own way of dressing so they can be unique and stand out from everyone else.

So in conclusion, every teen has the right to express them self freely. if they need to express them self freely let it be through dress. Every teen has there own style that makes them not blend in but stand out. Teens have there way to show there emotion, some teens will do that through dress. So therefor, I feel that there should be no dress code at schools.

1. The shoe symbolizes that I like to shop and that i have my own style because I am  unique and I don’t fit in. I stand out.
2. The soda  tab symbolizes the charity for the Children’s Hospital because i used to collect them to get money to help the Ronald Mc Donald house.
3. The DOLPHIN RING symbolizes  Chuckie cheese because I didn’t see my little cousin in four years and she wanted to go to chuckie cheese. so that was a great memory of my life.

No dress code

Have you ever went to school and the teacher's are telling you what to wear and what not to wear?
Here at San Pasqual Academy and most other High schools we have dress codes. A couple of the rules are we cannot wear a tank top, shirts that show our stomach, sandals, or even slippers. I believe all schools should be able to wear what they want because it gives teens freedom to express themselves.  At San Pasqual were I live we are all foster kids and we dont really want to talk about our feelings to others , But the way we dress is the way we express ourselves and show our sense of style. Thier are many different styles for example goth, girly, tom boyish, idgaf, rachid , And all of these styles allow you to dress differently. Also the way some teens dress, it expresses what mood they are in. I know that some people who disagree might say that some teens or foster kids dress inappropriate by wearing tank tops or sagging pants but if you think about it they might dress that way because it has to do with there past or the way they where raised. Some foster kids have been through alot and maybe never really got the chance to tell someone how they really feel, but through a freedom of dress they can show how they feel and show there emotions. So I feel with a FAT PASSION with no dress code students will have more pride and feel more free because they have a right to express there style.
